A Garden With Purpose
At Hāna GardenLands, our mission is to empower local Hawaiian communities and beyond through education and hands-on experience in regenerative agriculture practices. We are dedicated to fostering sustainable farming methods that respect and restore the 'āina, honor the cultural heritage of Hawai'i, and enhance local food systems. By providing resources, workshops, and demonstration projects, we aim to inspire individuals and families to embrace regenerative principles that promote biodiversity, soil health, and food sovereignty. This, in turn, will support the well-being of our communities, perpetuate the wisdom of our kūpuna, and ensure a thriving and resilient Hawai'i for future generations.

We nurture the soil as the foundation of our agricultural system and strive to employ the principles of regenerative farming on land that we steward, and promote regenerative practices with the local farmers that we work with. We seek to support the land, people, culture and community of Hana in everything we do. We seek indigenous wisdom and listen to feedback from our community, employees and culture.

We prioritize sourcing from Hana farmers and vendors, and recruit employees from within the Hana community. We pay living wages to employees and above-market prices to small and emerging farmers whenever possible.
